Use 10W30 unless you live up north and drive your car a lot during the cold weather, in which case use 5W30.

I use mobil 1 synthetic oil 5W-30

Expensive, but well worth it in my opinion.

I've been hanging out with a bunch of guys that are in a car team... it's mostly domestic. One person has a WS6 and is running "Royal Purple." It's supposedly better than synthetic oil and he agrees. He said, and I qoute, "you can actually feel the difference, it feels stronger." It's a little expensive, at least where I am, which is in California. $5 a quart to be specific (I think?). I'm going to try it. He's getting me a new oil filter and $50 worth of Royal Purple. If you want to know how it runs/feels, personal message me and I'll get back to you. Note: I'm putting it in on Saturday, so I'll be able to get back to you later that night.

5W30 Mobil1 here too. I changed the factory oil at 500 miles to fresh regular 5W30. Changed it again at 2,000 miles to Mobil1 5W30. I've got 62k miles on the car now, and the oil level is always full & clean when I change it. I change the oil now every 3,500 - 4,000 miles. So, mabey I'm a little overprotective - I like my toy and want it to last.

From what I remember reading awhile ago, Fram used to make pretty good filters but they changed the way they make them (less material? I dunno) and now they just pretty much suck, so...I'll just take their word for it and run something else (I never did use Fram anyway).

Mobil 1 5W30 here.

For all of your oil related questions, there is one answer...

www.bobistheoilguy.com

Fram filters have lass filter element and have a design that can allow oil to bypass the filter. Therefore making the filter worthless.

AC Delco PF59 I think.

And Royal Purple IS synthetic.

Use 5W30 up North. You can use 10W30 where it doesn't freeze outside. But you could use 5W30 everywhere.
