What is this noise???

I hear a clanking in the back of the car like when i brake and turn, sounds like it may be the rearend. My car is an auto with ony 20k on it, is this a sign of a rear going bad already???

Could be the rear end, but i doubt it, unless you really run your car really hard. I would be more inclined to think it is a suspension clunk. I am having a similar issue with my car at the current time, i have a manual, and i think it may be the pan hard bar bushings, all though this doesnt apply to you, if its something else and i figure it out, maybe if it stops raining here ever, i let you know.

sounds like your panhard bar has come loose/broke. i had this problem not too long ago. if it makes this noise when u shift it could be "wheel hop" and that would be caused by your lower control arms. either way, each fix can be done for under $100

Check that your spare tire and jack are secure. I had similar noises but it was just the spare tire that was a little loose.

Steady clunking that changes with the speed of the car? More noticable on decellerating left hand turns?

If so, then it's the Torsen differential and is "normal".

Anything else needs to be checked.
