what MPG can i expect from an A4?
My M6 gets on average around 22-23 but what can i expect from an A4? I drive it fast, average 2500-3500 about 1/3 the time and i have about half and half of city and highway.
thanks guys!

I get about 230 miles to a tank. I dont even know how big the tanks are off hand though, so you do the math. If it's a 16 gallon (which I think it's around there, right? Like 15.8 or so?) that'd be like 14.3 mpg or so? Lol.....
Well, I changed it, that's not 230 miles to a TANK, that's 230 miles until the check guages light goes on. I haven't driven my LS1 much past when the light comes on, but I know I could drive my V6 at least 50 miles + from the time the check guages light came on.

The factory mpg ratings are 18/26 for the A4 and 19/28 for the M6. I never measured my mileage I just put more gas in when it needs it. Its not as bad as I thought it would be, when I was trying to talk my dad into letting me get a LS1 f-fbody his main reason why not to was the gas.
So it sounds like that I am getting about the same mpg that everyone else is getting in the A4 LS1 fbodys. I get around 25 - 27 @80 mph on the freeway and about 18 - 20 in town.. This is a lot better then my previous daily driver that was a 94 GMC 1500 Sierra w/ v6 (4.3L Vortec) and 4L60E tranny which was getting 18 mpg on freeway and 16 - 17 in Town.. And definitely a lot better then my my project 68 C10 which gets 6 mpg in town and 8 mpg freeway sucking premium... I prefer the z28 camaro over any other car especially w/ ls1 and getting 25 + MPG on the freeway is great ..
I drove from Omaha NE to Minneapolis MN and managed to get a little over 30mpg out of my A4 with 3.23's. I was driving very near the speed limit the whole way. On the way back, I was running 10-15 over the limit almost the whole way and averaged 21-22. How you drive the car has a huge impact on your mileage.
