What gives??
A friend just installed LTs and true duals the other day....nearly the same as mine, just minus the cats.

WTF!!! I only gained 14 hp 6 ft with mine. What the hell?

cats can easily account for 5hp
and his car may have ended up with a more optimal a/f ratio after the header install, resulting in more power. while your's may have been thrown off.
or just typical variation in header design, dyno results, weather, humidity, planetary alignment....all things that make dyno numbers only usefull for internet racing

I believe there is a difference between the 98 and 99+ computers, perhaps the 99+ will respond to modifications better? In fact, come to think of it I know theyre different. Years ago, I would see places that would only tune 99+LS1 cars. This applies to Corvettes too.
