Whisper lid with the K&N filter from SLP?

What gains have you guys gotten with just the lid and nothing else.

The site says 10 rear horsepower but I dunno.

Car is a 2000 Camaro SS

If you're gonna get a lid, go here.

http://www.texas-speed.com/ls1-fbody.asp

They have a dyno sheet showing how their lid is the best on the market.

I've never had my car dyno'd but I definitely felt a difference when I had my lid installed.

FYI: In reference to the above post, all lids are not the same. Those from Texas Speed look nice. Don't get the lid from LS1 Motorsports, mine is already cracking. I guess that's what I get. Lesson learned.

Don't say that. I have that lid and it's held up very well for me through two cars. Just because you have one bad apple for a lid, or were destructive to it when removing and putting it back on doesn't mean it's a bad product.

I've had the lid since late February (<4 months) and it has only been installed once, has never been removed, and was not damaged during installation or shipping. If it was an installer error, I definitely would not have posted the previous statement.

With my SLP lid I gained 11rwhp. I then added a Super Sucker and gained 13 more. I went from 299.9rwhp to 324.1rwhp. One other thing to consider. I believe in 2000 they started having an air pump hose coming from the airbox unlike 98-99. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I have the SLP lid. I believe it's the only one with a hole in it for this purpose. With my 2002 SS I went to AutoZone and got some tubing and a couple of plastic male/male ends. One straight and the other with a 90 degree bend and a grommet. I then connected them to the air pump hose and ran it into my box. Go to Autozone and browse in that section, you'll see what I mean. Looks factory. People who don't have this hole in their lid will just have this mini filter on the air pump hose which I didn't like.
