What first Nitto's or bolt on's?
Re: What first Nitto's or bolt on's?
unless your planning on getting a new beefier rearend soon id stay away from nittos and start with bolt ons... the stock tires will hold you for awhile just learn how launch the car and not depend on the tires to do all the work for ya.. a good start would be airlid, headers, y-pipe, catback..
Re: What first Nitto's or bolt on's?
ok.. now for a correct answer...
and FYI the rear end is not made of glass. I have run ET Streets, BFGs and Nittos and no breakage yet..
so.. to answer the question,
#1 - driver mod.. meaning learn to drive YOUR car. Learn how it acts. what it does at the track. how it hooks. when it launches best how it launches best. is it an auto or manual? that matters. some prefer to stall it up others want to mash the gas.. there are so many variables... but learn your car and how it acts and how to get the most out of it....
#2 traction / suspension... this is vital as any power added that isnt getting to the ground is useless and wasted. so get the power to the ground then add power.
#3 when you have traction add power until you have no more traction, then add traction until you have plenty.. then add power.. follow this line of thinking and you will acheive more with less.
FYI.. my car.. BONE FACTORY STOCK.. 13.1@108.. STREET TIRES.. meaning not drag radials.. SUMMER... Waiting for a cool day soon to get back out there so I can get some runs in with cooler intake temps... (320rwhp with 108degree intake temp.. and yes its completely bone factory stock meaning no filter, lid or any other mod..)
and FYI the rear end is not made of glass. I have run ET Streets, BFGs and Nittos and no breakage yet..

If yes, get some bolt ons
