I have a question about the cut-outs. Don't most people see a gain with an open cut-out over just about any cat-back? I have the 80 series flowmaster, (just had it installed yesterday for $169), and it now sounds a lot better, deeper tone like my old Chevelle SS396 did.....it may cost me a little on flow, but then I don't race anyway, so the sound is more important to me......

 

Yes, cutouts sound great and will probably net you a larger hp gain than any cat back would. They're $30-40 shipped and you can always cap them if you need some peace and quiet.

 

I thin theysound like crap and annoy other drivers. It's like sitting next to a loud *** harley.

 

I just got my cutout installed Monday, Everybody was like "ITS GOING TO BE SO LOUD!!!!! First off when its just sitting youd never think that it had a cutout, So no its not like sitting next to a Harley!!!! Driving around It could be considered to loud but ive had cop sneak up and pass me with out me realizing it and he didnt seem to notice!! But everybody thats heard its like THAT SOUNDS AWESOME!!!!!! Its got a definite Muscle car sound!! I have no complaint! The caps not been on once and probably wont until i do a long trip on the interstate!!!
