Question What exactly does"Catalyst efficiency below threshhold (bank 2)" mean

My car just threw a code, as mentioned it was "Catalyst efficiency below threshhold (bank 2).I think I have an idea what this means, but I want to be sure.Any healp would be much appreciated.BTW Bank 2, does that mean rear 02 sensors? Bank 2 does not specify which side ie: driver/passenger.
The SES light is driving me friggin nuts!!!Does it seem like they use a 1000 watt bulb for that thing or what!

Hmmm... I think it means that either one of your cats or one of your downstream O2's are bad. Either way, the dealership should repair emmisions equipment failures under warranty for like 100K miles or something... check your manual. If I'm right, take it to the dealer and make that stupid light go away.

I don't think the dealership would want to warranty my car due to the MAC headers and high flow cats.....I'm going to try simms for the rear 02's.Hope that works
