What else can I do to get more power?

Well the guy that bought my old Mustang has been dumping some cash into it so it can beat my LS1. I don't know about you guys, but I know I don't want the car I sold because it didn't have LS1 power beating my new LS1. I have all the mods in the sig. What else can I do other then headers, cam, and heads? I plan on getting headers in July and heads and cam next summer. What can I do this summer to boost Horsepower and lower 1/4 mile time? All advice welcome!

pro 5.0 shifter

t/a rear end girdle so you don't mess it up

put a pipe thru the cats

SSRA, smooth bellow

learn how to powershift if you can't right now

since you're planning headers, why not just gut gut the cats now.

i also agree with the shifter, will make you a much better more proficient shifter.

ported throttlebody

160 stat and TB bypass

anything to get more/better traction. like lower control arms, torque arm bushing, relocation brackets

You want more power fast..cutout..and you could add headers
with or without cats. And a cam is pretty easy in the ls1s.
And not much else is there..ported tb maybe a couple of hp,you already have the ls6 intake.160 stat and tb bypass won't do much really.
After that if you have m6 its gear time 3.73 or 4.10 and good stall like 2800 to 3500 if you are auto. And of course nitrous works very well as do superchargers or turbos. And heads work ok too.

I've heard that if you put 4:10's in a new F-bod with Nitto Dr's your going to run into the problem of snapping driveshafts and rear ends?...I def. want to upgrade to 4:10's soon but I don't want to have to mess around with the problems that I heard come with them.

As far as a supercharger ( should be in the supercharger section I know ), won't that mess up your internals pretty good if your running too high PSI???

Not with Nitto tires. Theyre sticky tires on a stock car. But put them on a car with a stall or gears and time for new tires.

BTW get headers.

There aren't many cheap mods left. Get smooth Bellows and do the TB bypass (every little bit helps). Perhaps porting and polishing your throttlebody (or buying one already done on ebay). You might find a used Hypertech for under $200 - get a 180 thermostat with that. You can try the power tuning - it MIGHT help, might not (I havent been able to tell since my times are too inconsistant at this point) - but u would need it for the thermostat swap. Race on a 1/4 tank of gas and ditch the spare and jack. Good luck!
