I spent an hour and a half doing a little porting on one of my heads, took before/afters and i followed what they said in the ls1 book i have. I think all things considered it looks promising. Everything I've heard is to improve airflow, but not port too much because you want velocity.

There's no WAY I'd try doing this myself. You can hurt the flow/velocity more than you help it if you don't know what you're doing.
