I use a dry paintbrush to brush away all the debris and dirt. Then I'll take a leaf blower and blow everything out of the engine.

I don't use any ArmorAll under the hood because the dirt will stick to it.

Hose it off with what? A garden hose or something like the spot free rinse at the car wash? I cant imagine a garden hose being good for the engine.

let your engine cool, spray simple green all over it and use the garden hose. dont do a hard spray just use a mist. it works great.

Simple green and a hose is what use. I just did it yesterday as a matter of fact. Dont spray anything directly with a hard shot of water, just gentle misting, try not to get the computer wet also.

How long do you leave the simple green on? And where do you get it from?

ORANGE BLAST worked great for me.

On a cool engine spray, let sit for little bit, and spray away.

It did a miracle for my moms 97 tbird. On that car we NEVER cleaned the engine bay until recently.
