Last week of Production?

Does anybody know the actual last date of production on the camaros.Ive searched and found its the last week of August 02, but im wondering what the actual date was? Also does anybody know a way to find this on a car (vin or other means)?I looked on my door jam and the tag has 8/02 on it but im wondering how late in the month my car was made.any help is appreciated.

I believe the last car, a red Z/28, rolled off the line on Tuesday 8/27/02. Not sure what time it was, but as I recall reading at the time, the plant was pretty empty at the time.

hey my car fits the discription of that last Z-28 that rolled off the line in late august.it would sure be nice if my car was one of the ones that rolled out just before that one did.Damn that would be cool. anybody else know a way to track these cars.thanks

the last one of 1 of each type, ss, ws6, etc. are all in a GM storage facility

Actually they auctioned off the last Z28 for some ungodly amount of money.

$71,XXX for the last Camaro. The money went to a charity. Theres no way to find out what day exactly your car was built and VIN numbers skip around.

and no GM car is built in 1 day. it takes them 26 hours. nissan has a 3 year record of 16 hours so the thing is a 1 day cant be determined. and this is a fact it was on the news about 2 weeks ago.

That was for the last publicly sold Z28. The actual last one is in a museum, as JustanotherT/A said.

If you've got the build sheet for your car, it should have a date on it. I think my car was built on (or "completed" on) April 5th, or April 7th of 2002.
