What do LS1's run with bolt on's?
Different cars react differently to bolt ons , Its hard to say . I have seen LS1's run 12.9 stock , and I have seen some drop form a 13.6 to a 13.0 w/only a few bolt ons . And I know a dude thats got a 2001 formula w/just a ported MAF , free ram air mod and a Wisper lid .
The "current" issue of GM High Tech Performence has them working an a 99 Trans Am A4. They ran a 13.4 with just the free-mods and gained 7 RWHP. When they put bolt-ons on (every single pulley imaginable, a whisper lid, 160 degree Thermostat, and a Manual Fan Switch) they got another 7-9 RWHP. Their time didn't change from the 13.49 due to a bad part (don't remember what). It really depends on what bolt-ons, but the LS1 is simply an amazing engine so anything from a 13.8
to mid to high 12's

Well with all the main bolt-ons a ball park estimate would be 335-350 rwhp with just bolt-ons. Times would of course be in the 12's, possibly even 11's for a4's since a TC could be considered a bolt-on as well I suppose.

I was pretty dissapointed with the article's choice of basic "power producing" bolt-ons. Really don't know too many people running a pulley set-up on an LS1 (more of a 5.0 mod). And a fan switch...?

What I'd like to see is a direct comparison of only a few very common bolt-ons like lids, cat-backs, headers, ECM tuning and aftermarket ram air set-ups. Preferrably comparing different brands of the same popular bolt-on each issue.
But that's just me...

I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the pulley's causing false knock or something.

As stated.. there is a top 50 list of bolton cars running anything from 11.30's-40's up to 12's.. It all depends how extreme you get with it.. Your average bolton automatic with a nice verter runs high 11's.. With weight reduction that can be easily reduced into the deep 11's..
