What are the differences between the LS1 and Ls6 heads?
I was wondering what the specific differences were between the 2 style heads.
Thanks,

. As for the other differences, I don't think there are many "physical" differences besides the D-ports, but I believe that the valves are made of a different material (I think they're hollow or something like that as well?
) and the springs are heavier to take a higher lift cam.Other than that, I'm not too sure?
LS6 heads have D shaped ports, intake ports flow better, and smaller combustion chamber which raises compression to 10.5:1. Valves are hollow to reduce valvetrain mass, and stiffer springs.
