what cam to go with?
what cam to go with?
hey guys just wondoring which cam do u guys recommend me to go with. i got most of the bolt ons on my 00 z28, a4 which are lid, filter, flowmaster, lt headers, ls6 intake, and tb. im guessing im probably somewhere between 330-340hp, not sure tho. which cam will get me close to 380-390hp? i will certainly get a tune as well after the cam. this car is a daily driver too, not for racing at the tracks. i dont care about emissions so not a problem there. just making sure which one is good for the street. thanks.
Re: what cam to go with?
try the FM14 or the TSP torquer cam (updated version from the one in my sig)
since you have an A4 you'd probably come in right around 390 at the wheels, possibly 400.

I would be happy to have just enough for the 390.

i'd be willing to bet the intake is holding him back a solid 10hp...possibly more in the upper rpm. that would put him at a pretty stout 400 to the wheels.
but in the mid to high 6xxxrpms even the LS6 intake starts to fall short.
but for the cost...it's better than the LSX
