Can any one tell me about this GorillazChipz! these chips sell in ebay for $39.00 and they say +30 hp gains? This chip Works? I have an 98 SS.

 

There haven't been "chips" in F-bodies since 1993.

Something that promises those gains for only 30 bucks and on Ebay is too good to be true. And as mentioned, there is no removable chip in your PCM.

 

Your computer is flashable, no chips. What they are probably selling is a resistor to hook into your tps or iat to fool it into thinking it is cooler or that your need more fuel for your throttle.

on this "chip - computer" question does anybody know what the Florida Highway Patrol has in the maros they drive.. pretty sure they have the LS1 and it looks something like an 2000 or 01 (fortunaltey I never got the oppurtunity to see one up close)

just wondering if they had anything specially made (upgraded delrship pcm, cams, etc.,) as I've seen those guys go from zero to fast in nothing and I hear they may be selling some of soon??

 

The B4C models were rumored to have a slightly better tune. I've yet to see a B4C tune myself. But, I think they may have beefed up a few of the weaker parts to handle the stress of a patrol car. I'm sure if you search on Yahoo or something, you could find specifics.

 

yeah I've searched a bit and all I could find was tons of pictures and then stuff about the pace car deal at Daytona but the only specs I could find was (from wikipedia.. hear that is maybee reliable)

that last one is interesting?? but it is probbaly a mistake on wikipedia and is like you said just a better tune
