were is the remote start fuse or wire at on my camaro
well i have to disable my remote start. when i got the car it was already on there. where is at? its on a 98 camaro z28. really need help
Re: were is the remote start fuse or wire at on my camaro
why do you have to disable it? is it acting up?
its aftermarket, so most likely its wired in under the dash. Look under/around the streering column, and behind both kick panels in the footwell.
can you get a model and manufacturer info for it?
If you just need a quick remedy, take the battery out of the remote, lol.

If it is a combination alarm, keyless entry, remote start and you pull the fuse you will lose those functions also. If you can find the brand/model like rod said I could help you more. Most are wired similarly and there are a few different ways to disable the remote start feature. the easiest would be if a toggle switch was installed for that specific reason. or remove the VATS bypass... it just depends on the install as to which one is easier.

i need to disable it for a programmer. it says i could mess the tune up if i have any of that on and i need to pull the fuse. im gonna look under my dash right now and ill brb and let you know if i see anything

Might have to pull the plastic panels in the footwell(s), and under the dash. I put the brain for my electric fuel pressure gauge up in next to the column, but the under dash cover has to come off to check there too. I'd post pics of the panel that has to come off, but its in storage.
