went to the track clucth pedal fell to the floor need help
I took MY 98 z-28 6-speed to the track on friday for the first time but on all the 3 runs when i was doing my burn out the clucth pedal would fall to the floor. I wasnt riding it at all i was doing the side ways foot pedal move you now the way you have to do a burn out on a stick car, and the pedal would fall to the floor, you clould smell the clucth really bad, i have 40,000 miles on the clucth, alot of people told me it was my slave cynlinder. what should i do, should i just replace the slave or both the clucth and slave? what kind of clucth should i get? how are those Z06 clucths? thanks for all the help
HMMM.. Why were you doing a burnout? Were you using drag radials or street tires?
If I were going to replace my clutch, I would use Spec.. I have yet to hear anything bad about them.
Not sure about your problem, but I personally would not of kept on it if I smelled any clutch burning.

I ususally see posts where people are using these..
Stage 3 - Stage 3 clutches come with a sprung center disk with pads. The pads are available with a Kevlar disk or carbon disk, which will hold 680 horsepower, or or a ceramic disk, which will hold 700 horsepower.
You get to choose Kevlar, Carbon, or Ceramic..

Are you on stock or street tires? If so your burnout was completely pointless and will only make your traction problems worse. You only want to turn them over a few times to clean them off, smoke is bad.
