Weight of HT cars vrs T-Top cars with same trans.?

Weight of HT cars vrs T-Top cars with same trans.?

What is the typical diff in the weights of a HT car w/A4 vrs. T-Top car W/A4?

I don't know what the exact weight differences would be, but I honestly don't think there would be a huge difference (I know the glass tops aren't light, but they're not that heavy either?! ). IMO, a full vs. empty tank of gas would make more of a difference than hard-top vs. T-top .

Just my $.02.

t-tops prolly weigh a couple pounds more than a ht.

Says T-Tops add 12.3 lbs over a regular roof. Probably has more reinforcement in the T-Top bar. Later>>>>>>>>

My car's weight is 3439 lb. Someone with a HT chime in and we will settle the issue.

If it truly is a ~12lb difference, say roughly ~10lbs/gallon for fuel, so an extra gallon or two of gas will make more difference in weight............................a T-top car with a nearly empty tank will weigh much less than a HT car with a full tank of gas then.

I have t-tops, and my car weighs in at 3433 lbs, not including the spare/jack removed.

Bone stock, no mods my SS weighs 3438 (my car has t-tops)
my friends bone stock 2001 Z28 ht weighs 3418
