Before I ask, I did do a search of the forum and I know I suck at research so I'm asking anyway...What is a good website to find detailed instructions on changing the spark plugs on a 98 LS1? thanks a lot!!!

www.installuniversity.com has one - recommends removing some items not necessary to remove, but a good overview.

Take your time.. its pretty straight forward. You can get to them alot better on LS1s than LT1s. Set aside a day to do it.

To save time and trouble, take the coil packs out of the way. The rear pass #7 cyl, can most likely be reached from underneath. That damn AIR system gets in the way a lot!

Not quite a day in my book, but a good couple hours... I can do them in about 20 min on my buddy's car. But his valve covers are off too... (due to MS4 cam complications.. still under the knife.. or wrench).

I'm sure it'll be a day, or two, in my situation just because I'll be busting my cherry on LS1 plug changes. Any other tips or hints are GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Yeah, get the bandaids out , you will need them . Just take your time and when you get frustrated, take a short break and relax. Good luck.

The NGK TR55's will be fine right? How long do those plugs last under normal conditions?

yep

10 to 40k miles depending upon the state of tune and usage.

I put a set in our 98 SS at 3k in 1998 and they still work fine at 30k in 2007.
