At the track on saturday, a man showed up with a corvetter Z06, just got it back from ligenfelter the night before, they did the cam, heads, headers, and supercharged it, and on a set of slicks, he ran...... you guessed it a whopping 13.28 at 123 miles an hour.... any idea what coulda been wrong there? I find it funny that he had 477 RWHP but was only mustering 13.20 consitantly

 

It's all driver there. My friend pulls 12.20's stock on an 04 all day. With a 123 trap he must have had terrible traction snd 60 foot time.

got himself a lingenfelter vette and was running 13.6's @ 125mph

he was an old guy though just there to have fun not set any new ET records.

What kind of tires was he running?

 

My wife ran a 13.19 @ 106.8 mph in our 2002 Z28 on stock tires and wheels and backed it up with a 13.3 @ 104.4 mph before the tech guys at Route 66 in Joliet stopped her because she was faster than 13.5 and no roll bar or 5 point harness.

You need a rollbar to run faster than 13.5

 

No,if you run 13.5 or less in a convertible you must have a roll bar. This is during bracket racing at Route 66 Racway in Joliet Il. During test and tune they'll let it slide
