Vacuum Leak - part numer request

I have a 2000 Camaro SS in the UK (US Spec). We have discovered that a hissing noise was coming from the pipe that I have circled below - I think it maybe causing my engine management light to come on.

I have plugged the hole, however I want to replace the part - can anyone give me an idea of the part or part number?

The image is not my car - I notive the image I have borrowed the guy has some air recirculation pipe work missing - is this a performance enhancment does anyone know?

The part that you have circled is the hook up for the PCV valve.

Thanks Bud, for letting me know what the pipe was!

Does anyone have an idea of what the part number maybe?

Will this pipe leaking affect my performance?

I have taped it up for now - it sounds better (no hissing noise on tick over)!

GM part number for the PCV tube/hose assembly is 12590632. I get parts at 10% above wholesale - my price on that was $69. Expect a counter sale to be near $85-$95. You might pay a good bit more based upon your location.

And leak in the PCV system will absolutely turn on the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light. The vacuum leak causes a lean condition, and will set DTCs P0171 and P0174. Not only will it cause the SES light to illuminate, but depending upon the severity it will affect driveability.

Edit: www.gmpartsdirect.com is a good source for GM parts that can be expensive or hard to find. But be warned, they charge excessively for "shipping/handling". Regardless, even with the high fees, they are usually cheaper than any alternative. I do not know if they ship overseas.

If it's just the hose that goes from the pcv valve boot to the intake then just go get some 5/8 vacuum hose at any autoparts store. Costs about a whopping $2.00.

I had to replace mine also - it takes 11/32 Fuel and Oil Resistant Tubing Double Wall Non-Reinforced hose. I bought the whole (GM/dealer only) part #12590632.

I only changed the PCV valve & the hose circled in your picture. I have kept the remaining assembly incase something else goes....
