Used car, New motor
Used car, New motor
Is it worth buying a camaro used, worn in with alot miles for a few grand then buying a new motor for it to make it run good or to just save up the money and buy one with loew loew miles?
this is for all cars in general but i really camaro.

i would just save and get one with low miles because the money you would spend for a new motor you can spend on mods. like a new LS1 motor is like 5 grand. imagine what kind of mods you can put with 5 grand....
With an older very high mileage car there are several things to consider even if you install a new engine. You would have a new engine with a very used transmission behind it. If the transmission doesn't blow, will the u-joints or the rearend last very long?? What about the suspension? Shocks wear out, springs sag, ball joints and tie rods may need replacing., Alternators, air conditioning compressors, fuel pumps, steering racks, and such are also going to be very used too. Power window motors, power door locks, and power seat motors and all the switchgear are going to be ready to go out too. The point I'm trying to make is that every component in an older high mileage car may go out at any second. It may be more economical in the long run to buy a newer car which still has a lot of miles left on the entire vehicle instead of just replacing one component of a more worn out vehicle.
