Upgrading fuel injectors

I have recently aquired #36 injectors by Ford. I want to upgrade to these.
My question is, When upgrading to these injectors will I need a tune, or can I put them in and the car run fine till I am able to get a tune?
I know when I had my T-Bird SC and you upgraded the fuel injectors that you have to replace the sampling tube in the mass air meter. The Z has no sampling tube.
Thanks in advance.

Personally I wouldn't use them until you need them. At your power level they definitely aren't necessary. Hold on to them if your planning a fairly healthy motor though. To answer the other question you will need to retune the computer for whatever injector is swapped in.

At what power level should I consider doing this? Also I have heard when you run headers you should get a tune, is this correct?

You do realize that Ford 36lbers are going to be over 40lbs on the LS1s fuel pressure, correct? Do you have a blower or large shot of juice? Anyways, "yes" you will need a tune.

No blower nor large shot of juice. I was just reading on sponsors websites and thought it might be a good idea. I was at that point with the SC before geting rid of it.

The stock fuel injectors and fuel pumps are typically good until 440-450rwhp. A little less being for autos. Custom tuning is really only necessary when you have gone into the motor., ie. camshaft or heads. Until then any of the handheld programmers work just fine for basic adjustments.
