An update from my cheap tires
An update from my cheap tires
thanks guys for the help offered on my previous thread. I went over to the shop and asked if I can have a refund or a replacement for better tires. The manager (who sold me the tires and recommended these pathetic ones i have now) actually offered to take the tires back for some performance ones. I'm getting the Daytona P245/50ZR16. 168 was the initial asking price but they're willing to charge me 119 for it.. (for the hassles I went through)
He also apologized that he shouldve gave me the correct tires when I first came to have new tires installed. Thanks guys for your help : )
Man, I feel so much relieved.

If you're looking at the ones the tire guy tried to sell me I'd stay away. Do they have a tread pattern that had a deep tread in the center and then swirls out to the sidewall?
The guy at the tire shop tried to tell me they're the best tires on the market, but I saw smelled his BS pretty good. The guy probably got a shipment of tires and he NEEDS to move them, so he'll say anything to sell them.
At $119 per tire, I'd take a look at the tires in my sig., I got them for $129 each and they're GREAT.
I'm not trying to criticize your decision, just trying to inform you about something I learned.
I don't know if you watch the Simpsons, but the episode where they all take a trip to the SuperBowl, Homer gets conned into getting some BS tire package he doesn't need for his car, and the other guy in the waiting room does too. Then the manager and serviceman are laughing their asses off outside. Most parodys on the Simpsons are true.
Just make sure you know what tires are good, because they're quite an investment.
