i was wondering if i would have any problems with the check engine light after modding an ls1? i assume it will come on after some exhaust and other modifications. how hard is it to use tuner cat and other programs? i already have a lap top but i wouldn't have a clue how to use tuning programs. basically, i was wondering what is the best way to go when building a ls1? it will be fully built, with cam, heads, crank, etc. i may even put a little blower on it sooner or later. any suggestions would be great.

 

It will be money well spent to find a shop that has a dyno and an experienced LS1 Edit tuner. It's not cheap, most places charge about $400 but a good tuner can find lots of extra power under the curve as well as more peak power, can set your air fuel ratio where it belongs, and can make the car so much easier to start and drive.
