tsp or mti.. what lid to get

I wanted the MTI for a while now, but i saw the tsp and people over at ls1.com say it's better, i called about ordering but there is a 4-6 week wait, should i wait for the tsp, or is the mti going to just as good

I'm going with the smoked TSP when I finally get my car. There is a thread that's pretty long that dyno's the TSP vs. the other lids and it makes more power.

Never heard of the tsp, but i went iwth a clear MTI about a year ago. I felt it for sure, great mod for 169 or whatever it was. But id personally listen to the people. If they say tsp, go tsp...or youll want it later.

I say go TSP, but I'm probably biased. The clear and smoked($149) clear are definitely sharp looking lids! The wait is a little longer than what we want, but the demand is also greater than we expected. If that's what you are looking for, then I would wait. The carbon fiber($149) is the best looking lid IMO of all of them. And then we have the black($129). We are pretty much caught up on the black and CF, so the wait is minimal.

I would love to see the dyno posts on this thing.. If anyone in Houston gets it, lemme know if ya wanna do a dyno test on it..

My car is still bone stock and I still have the MTI and the 2 filters from the previous tests. I would love to test and see what it does.

I'm happy with my MTI lid but from all the good I've heard about the TSP lid, I'm almost tempted to buy one (even if I can't sell mine).

Go with the TSP.

I have the tsp lid. I got in on sale when they first came out. I got it shipped for like $100. It fits perfect. I really didnt notice a gain. I like the ways it looks though. The lid is shiny kinda like it has armor all on it all the time. I know the slp lid is dull but Im not sure about the others. Just my .02

is there a clear tsp lid??? I like mti's clear lid. that would be great if there was a clear tsp lid too. If they have a clear one, by what you guys have said i will get the tsp one.

how does the tsp make more power than the mti they both look the same, dont they?

Thanks guys

Scott

I've got the MTI clear lid and LOVE it. Great gains with it, no dyno numbers but a big SOTP difference. IMO all lids are gonna be the same, you just find what looks best and see if any brand has certain deals. As far as the larger dyno gains with the TSP, I'm not gonna call BS or anything, but there will always be 2-3 hp worth fluctuation between lids.
