Trunk Latch Problems?

I know about the problems with the trunks on these cars not popping open, and I am going to put a helper spring on ti combat this annoying problem. My question isn't regarding that, When I pop the trunk and open it the latch seems to reclose as if I have shut the trunk lid. SO I have to release the trunk latch with the remote and when I hear it activate I have to actually open the latch with my finger. Has anyone had this problem? THe stealership said that they couldn't find anyhting wrong. It doesn't do it everytime, I'd say it does it once every 5 times. Do I need to replace the whole latch assembly? Any ideas? Thanks guys

If the spring mod doesn't work you most likely need a new assembly. The spring mod worked for me, but for others it had to be replaced.

try the spring mod, or of you have a waranty just get the dealership to give you a new one. It may be a challenge to show them the problem if its not consistant.
