true duel exhaust
true duel exhaust
to the few out there that went to to true duel exhaust, what all is involved on a '00 z? i guess ill need a x pipe and custom tubing to 2 new mufflers, but am i leaving anything out between the x to the cat to the mufflers?
I don't believe you will be able to sqeaze cat under there. I suggest a couple of bullet muffler, they won't quiet it that much but it will help and keep the vibration down. I ran mine without mufflers for a while --- really lound and alot of vibration but you can't beat the sound, it's easier to do with long tubes. and some 45's

eric --- I'm not understanding what your talking about what well? and what y? I don't think there is going to y with a duel set up -- there is a couple of different dual set-ups but I don't see what your saying that applying to eather--explain further I could be wrong ---- its happended before.

I don't see why the cats just be put right after the headers?

I think what he is aying is if you go true duel than you are going with LT hedders right. and if do the hedders are going to come too far down past the well....
correct me if i am wrong
a dual exhaust is going to hang down much further than a stock y-pipe which will drag anyway, you put cats which add another inch - not saying you can put them on but they will definatlly drag alot -like, everywhere. the underside of f-bodys has an indintion for the stock y-pipe and cats, when running duals the pipes have to be ran a different route that does not have a special indintion. If he want to run a duel exhaust that comes after the y-pipe which is what your most likely thinking of I don't think it will flow any better then what he has now but if that whats he wants to do it should be no problem, but he is talking about an X pipe to the cats from what I can tell from his post----he needs to reply so he can explain what he is planning on doing
