True Duals vs. Catted Y & Cutout?

Well, if you have true duals, you have LT's and then it goes to the X-Pipe and dumps right? With a Y-Pipe setup, you have LT's, then a Y-Pipe catted or not, and then it goes to a cat-back. My question is, would the true duals be really loud? Would they even come close to passing emissions? Would LT's, Catted Y, and GMMG cat back with a cut-out before the cats give you more hp gain than true duals would? Why do people choose true duals? Sound? Is there a way to have true duals but still have mufflers?

someone on the boards owns a white LT1 that says something like "bonestock" on it. he posted a video of his car a while ago that I believe had true duals with bullet mufflers. Listen to his car and decide if you want to go duals or not.

ARGH! I wandered into foreign territory! Sorry, I thought this was LT1 Tech! LOL.
