Traction control module
Traction control module
Slp and Rksport has a module called tcs or traction control reversal module, Im thinking of buying it, is this worth it or just a waste of $? Im planning on hitting the track next month and i heard traction control can really hurt your 1/4 mile time. I have an on/off switch for the ASR, if i just turn it off will it stay off or will it turn on automatically half way down the 1/4??? any inputs?

I am not positive, but from what I have read on that SLP product, it just makes the defualt for ASR to be off instead of on. That way when you turn your car on ASR is automatically off instead of on. I think that is just to avoid the hassle of turning off ASR all the time.

Once you turn it off then it'll stay off until you turn it off or you shut the car off and restart it. It's a pain in the butt at the track so I got the reverser from SLP and it has worked great for 3 years now. Start the car and it's off. You have to turn it on on purpose.
i see the price is coming down on those units a bit. didn't they start at over $60?
but if you are in the habit of turning off the ASR it's not a big deal. i like it on cause the majority of the time you'd need it would be unexpectedly...where normally it would be off if you reversed it.
as for at the track, as long as you keep your car running, all you need to do is turn it off once.
just don't do what i did...made a deliberate effort to turn it off (after doing 1 run with it on accidentaly), then shut the car off to keep temps down while they slip a grudge race ahead of you in line, then forget to turn it off AGAIN!!!
made for some embarrassing launches and times!
