Question Traction control module ?

I was looking on Thunder racing's web page and came across a "Traction control logic module."
From what I read in the text about the module, it seemed to say that all camaros are equiped with a traction control device that robbs the car of excess torque and HP!
(For the women who like the look of the Z or SS, but can not handle the power of the LS1!)
SLP, the maker of the product, claims you can turn this GM traction control off! I am very confused here because I thought you had to purchase the traction control option when you purchase the car...so therefore what would be the point of this product from SLP?
Can anyone clear this up for me?

P.S. check it out. (www.thunderracing.com)

Yes, I have the place for it on my dash as well. Thats what makes the whole situation confusing to me, because I thought the switch was to allow you to turn it on or off.
So, if you bought the option, you could turn the traction control off, and if you didn't purchase the option you wouldn't have to worry about traction control right/wrong?
What purpose would SLP's module play?

Ok, the Traction Control Logic Module from SLP that I think you're talking about is a reverse switch for TCS equiped cars. I believe that that module is for the people that want their TCS equiped cars to start in the off mode, rather than on mode, after you start your car.
The reasoning behind this is that drivers forget to switch it off during race/burnout and are met by powerloss and braking by the computer to control wheelspin (or at least that's what happens to me when I forget to turn it off).

Yup Yup, he's right.

If you have trac control, it starts off in the on position when you start the car. SLP's module just reverses it to start off in the off position.

If you don't have trac control, then it wouldn't apply to you
