i finally ran the 02 z28 its bone stock (even the paper filter)
except for a flowmaster muffler and 3.73 gears, i ran it on et streets 26x11.5x16....
here the slips ( i made 2 runs they were almost identical)

mph 99.9

 

sounds pretty accurate. any future mod plans?

 

maybe a few bolt ons, but thats all...

when i bought it, i told my wife the 02 is for riding, and my 96 is for racing

but you never know

btw with a lid/longtubes/4400 stall/100 shot it would give me run in the 96....

do you know what the weather was by any chance ?

 

the weather was awful
elevation was 1744
humidity was 90%
temp was 94

the density altitude was around 4000

 

Yep, get some better air and it'll go alot better. Your trap speed is LT1 territory.

 

yea that weather is killin you. I have to bring my car to the track when i got time. You should do a lid and go when theres less humidity.

 

I was about to say how many trailors were you pulling behind you....those 02's knock on the doors of 12's bone stock

 

the 2.0 sixty foot was the all it would do, dead hook on et streets with about 17psi....the stock stall is really holding it back....

at this track it seems pretty cosistent that stock ls1's trap about 100-101mph....times range 13.8 to 14.2....

the only time we have good air is around oct maybe then i can 11's in my 96lt1 (in sig)

im not trying to sound negative but a 02 ls1 with 3.73 gears should run much better than 13.8, even with a 2.0 60 ft, the best gears stock they come with is 3.23 gears, the 3.73 should have lowered your et by .1-.2 your mph should be atleast 102+ and if a strong running ls1 had longtubes lid, 4400 stall it should be awful close to your 12.2 lt1, i damn sure know if a decent running ls1 had longtubes and lid, and a 100 shot it would be very low 12s, then with the 4400 stall it should see mid-high 11s, ls1's respond VERY well to mods.

 

Yea, just the 373's should get you a 12 second pass w/ a good launch...if not real close, 02's are the strongest 4th gens

 

i agree, if not high 12s, definately low low 13s

 

i know of at least 6 stock ls1 fbody's that trap 99-101 at this track.....

 

is the track gravel or something?

Im pretty sure the weather is kicking his *** guys. I ran a 13.04 @ 112 mph because it was so hot, and my car has a cam in it. But that 60' is kinda high for having ET streets on the car. Track sucks huh? No prep?
