Talking Torque

ok i gots a question when it comes to gearing and torque if anyone can answer it. the stock reading for ls1's torque is roughly 330-350 pounds/foot now if you change the rear end gears to 3.73 or 4.10 does this increase the rear end torque, and if it does by how much does it increase?

Torque doesnt change. Gears do not change the output of your motor. The gears simply propel you faster because they make better use of the power that is being made.

i took my car in to the chevy dealer for regular maintenance and he told me to watch the rear end now that i put a 4.10 in it.He said that i almost doubled the torque in the rear end now from the stock 2.73 gears.Dont know if its true or not just figured id ask here.
