Question Tornato thing

OK I'm just curious and I think I know it's junk, but has anyone tried this tornato that you slip in the air intake. A friend of mine put one on his ford pickup and claims he has more power and better mileage. I don't think it works, but I know I can find out here. Thanks!

I've heard it's junk. Don't waste your time or money.

Re: Tornato thing

They tried a test of the things: the one they make for carbed engines actually did show some effect, oddly enough. The one for FI engines is worthless.

Just one of those stupid little products that companies sell by the millions to idiots. Like mustangs.

lol j/k

Re: Tornato thing

I had one took it off ran 2 tenths better in the 1/4 mile. A friend also had one and it turned around inside and blocked air.. that would suck.. I would think you are better off putting the money elsewhere..

Re: Tornato thing

Why would you want something that's going to twist the air when the MAF screen and throttle body blade is trying to keep things flowing straight? If you're that desperate for more power, replace your MAF with a piece of PCV tubing and have someone with HPtuners/EFIlive adjust your spark tables and SES light. That'll get a little more air in the motor.

Not too many! That's dangerous! The incredible spinning force from that mass quantity of air vortex entering the intake will shatter it and cause the drive shaft to twist like a pretzel!!

Seriously, tho... It causes blinker gasses to boil.......

It's all in your friends head. Tornado is like a placebo for cars.
