Nothing wrong with mids, especially if you just have bolt ons. A local LS1 one guy was running 10's on them no problem.

Re: torn between mids and lt's

I was planning on mids since my car Is already lowered... and the thought of scrapping headers would be even worse than the front scrapping as is! I can live with slightly less power for a street car.

Ive read that with lowered cars people are still scraping, even with mids. I think Im just gonna go all out again...

Re: torn between mids and lt's

I lowered my car after I put the long tubes on my LT1, I have the pacesetters with their ORY. I had to turn all the exhaust clamps up so threaded studs would not hit on a lift. Other than that I dont scrape on anything except for tall speedbumps and a steep entrance to a driveway or something. I have a spohn dual driveshaft looped torque arm, and the driveshaft tunnel brace takes the beating. Im not too worried about the underside of the car because you dont see it, I don't like scraping simply because it sounds bad. But I don't care about a little power coating getting scraped off or some metal getting scraped. As long as the y-pipe doesn't get a huge dent in it, then I'm cool.
