That is a kickass SS dude, congrats. I would have been tempted to settle for an auto too when I was shopping for a LS1/6spd had I found that particular car.

A silver w/ black top SS w/ the ZR1-style rims is my ideal Camaro. Just missing the 6spd to be a homerun.

you'll like it, I like mine, but remember... the stock 4L60E should have a sticker on it that says

"Warning: this transmission should not be usen in conjunction with a high performance engine"

had mine replaced at 80K miles and now I have 104,000-ish and it be making some funny noises again in 1st gear and I dont drive that hard...mostly freeway since I got it

Congrats man!

Same deal with mine though, found a great deal, but it's automatic..

But if you find a deal like that you can't hesitate, you gotta jump on it.

And mine ran 7 years of drag racing regularly (100 passes a year) going faster every year, from 13.3s bone stock to 11.2s with the same stock 4l60e with a big torque converter and a Transgo valvebody reprogramming kit.

yea man, don't sweat it being an auto. More fun to drag race at the track with IMO

4L60e is loved by some and despised by other, as it is with many things. On my LT1, I personally never had bad luck with the trans. It varies on a case by case basis.

But looks like you found a nice ride for a good price. Enjoy and congrats!
