time trial 2000 camaro ss with full slp package

If I were to put a supercharger on this car would I have to do piston work or is this motor built strong enough to hold the compression difference

If you keep the boost at a reasonable level and a safe tune; 6-8psi can be safe for a LONG time. You would need supporting mods, IE. valvesprings, pushrods, injectors, fuel pump and a tune.

As long as you keep the boost levels low/moderate than you should be ok as long as the tune is good like stated above.
