Time for a new mod-Help me choose
Gonna have, hopefully, about $1200 spare bills in the next 2 months. Havent done anything to the car since the cutout in June. The mod bug is biting me pretty hard right now. What would be the best bang for my buck. Oh and no Nitrous. My mods thus far are below. Thanks.

I would reccomend a set of 3.73 gears.. I have them in my 96 LT1 Auto and absolutely love them! I do believe that was one of the best mods I put on that car. Or replace your LCA'S, PHR, TQA, and add a STB... those were also all great mods! I have redone the suspension on both of mine.

Good question, though, I wasnt aware that QTP's had raspy sound to them. I'm really not sure. www.quicktimeperformance.com
They have some sound clips, and they all sound fine to me. You might check those out.

I would go with a TCI 3500 torque converter for $515.99, tranny cooler for $49.99. You could also get some Pacesetter LT headers for $339.99, 3" y-pipe for $124.99, 02 extensions for $50 and with shipping and tax you would still be under $1,200.
I would start out with the converter first and maybe a set of drag radials. It will give you the best gains. With the 3500 stall you could drop ~.5 in the 1/4 if you can hook it up.

I agree with the above. $1200 won't cover them all but your next mods should be: Converter, gears, DRs, LTs and a Y-pipe (or X if you want true duals), in no particular order.
If you're looking to tear up the track right now, I'd go with the converter, gears and DRs. They won't net you any more power but you will see way lower ETs.
If you want to add a little power, go with the LTs and Y. It depends on which headers you go with but if you want to go the "cheap" route, you'll probably have enough money left to get a pair of DRs...and possibly gears too.
Either way should make you very happy.
To answer your question on headers and "rasp." One LT isn't going to produce more rasp than another. Also, the raspiness isn't just from installing headers...it's a combination from the headers, (most likely) the removal of the cats and the catback (muffler).
If you like that Flowmaster and you don't want rasp (you obviously don't), stick with it. It's probably going to give you the least amount of rasp from all the mufflers available. You'll lose a little flow (read: HP) compared to other mufflers because it's not a straight-thru design but that'll help minimize rasp...it'll probably just have A LOT of "drone." So...rasp or drone, take your pick.
There are catbacks out there, that will have very little of either but you'd probably have to go with a cat Y-pipe, not an off-road Y.
