Looking to replace my engine thermostat on an unmodified LS1 engine. I am looking to start modifying it in the next year or so. I haven't really looked around much at parts for this thing, anybody have a suggestion on an engine thermostat? I've looked around and seen a few brands that promise a little more bang for the buck. What should I look at if I am looking to upgrade... or should I just buy an OEM thermostat?

This is the first car that I've seriously looked at putting aftermarket parts on, so suggestions are welcome!

 

Hypertech 160* t-stat. They're all the same.

But unless you find a way to reporgram you fans turn-on temp, your car will only run cool while moving and getting air flow. Otherwise, the car will heat up idling and the fans won't turn on until the stock temp is reached.
