which TB should I get. Seems like the Shaner is around 300 if I do not do the core exchange, and the LS1speed I can get from a member on this board. Is there any difference btw the two performance wise? How about quality of the porting?

I do notice the ls1speed tb doesn't have the epoxy coat on the inside by the two holes, not sure if this make much difference or not.

the shaner is supposed to be a good tb. i hear the baur one too as well. between those 2 i would get the shaner. but i hear a ported stock tb is just as good especially its alot cheaper. you might wanna look into the G2 ported throttle body. i believe its like 150-190 ish. and i didnt see it having a core charge either.

Bret Bauer doesn't do core exchanges. He ports your thottle body and then sends it back to you. Unless your issue is that you don't want any down time.

 

Exactly, no down time, and I want a stock TB for any warranty purposes.
