Lightbulb TA Headlights

I have replaced my right-side head light twice this month. Could there be an electrical problem causing the light to blow? Is there a brand other than Sylvania that makes replacement head lights?

Be careful putting the new bulbs in.If you touch the bulb then the oil from your finger can heat up and cause the bulb to blow.Just an idea...

nikkev, the Firebird headlights are a sealed beam design ... I.E. we replace the entire assembly, glass and all. Unlike the Camaro where you replace just the actual bulb.

As for the headlamp blowing out. Well, there could be a problem somewhere, or you could have just gotten a bad replacement lamp.

If you still happen to have the receipt, I would suggest going back to the store and complaining that the lamp you bought only lasted XX weeks.

If it blows again, then you certainly have an electrical issue.

It's an '02? Take it to the dealer, along with your headlight receipts, and make them fix it under warranty.
