Angry T-top Wind Noise

Lots of wind noise coming from the right t-top area of my SS, esp at 30mph and higher. Sounds like the window is cracked but its not...i checked it. Anyone have an answer for this problem or have this problem with their t-top car?????

Ive tried the greasing the seals thing and that did not work. I adjusted the t-top and only eliminated a small amount of the sound. The wind noise was definitely not this loud when i first bought the car.

Hope this is not one of those pain in the @ss things to be lived with on a t-top car.

Its not just T-tops cars. My hardtop Z has the exact same noise coming from the same spot my T-top SS did. Water doesnt leak through there and thats all I care about since I almost always have the stereo on anyways.

Yeah , i had a hard top Z for three years. It was really a solid car. I just dont remember this amount of wind noise with that car. Im afraid to adjust the t-tops anymore as i dont want to cause a leak. ive got the radio turned up as well to drown some of the noise out

I've never experienced wind noise while driving, but I've had problems with leaks so I had the door position tweaked a little. (I had a buddy of mine I've known for 12+ years do it and he works at a body shop, so it isn't all askew.) Anyways, after the tweaking was done, I noticed that sometimes when I get in the car and shut the door, the window doesn't seal all the way up and I can hear things outside. I just roll it down a bit and roll it back up, I bet if I didn't I'd hear wind noise. The worst part is that I keep breaking the brackets that hold the window in.
