t-top only?
The only time my T-tops have ever leaked was when I was at a car wash and aimed the nozzle directly at the joint between the window and the T-top. It has been through driving rain and not so much as a drop got in then.

they leak

Then again, I don't have piston slap or rattling panels, either.

The tops on my 95 leaked a little bit if driven through car wash, but in normal driving there were no problems whatsoever. Nothing which would've affected on daily operation. After all, it just water, you know.

Always makes me smile when hear/read people complaining about leaking t-tops...

TS
In a good rainstorm (you know those summer tropicalish downpours) my T's will provide my left leg with a drop or two of water every 5 minutes or so. Never did that until I autocrossed my car w/o SFC's... im thinkin i stretched my car
Here is my honest attempt at being unbiased on the t-top debate.
Pros:
-cool/fun
-compliments
Cons:
-insurance (according to my GEICO agent t-tops cost more to insure then the vert version of the same car)
-possible leaks
-some people have said they squeak
-body flex
IMO The cool/fun out weighs the cons, the leaks can be fixed, and unless you autocross body flex won't be a issue. A lot of people claiming they squeak say it was on a car they previously owned, which leads me to believe this was mainly on the older f-bodies. T-tops have come a ways since the 80s, the 80s f-bodies I have seen don't even have a place to put the t-tops when you take them out.

I think a lot of that has to do with the Gen 3 camaro having problems with t tops leaking. My first car was an 85 Camaro w/ t-tops. Leaked like a ****
Had to seal them shut with RTV.
I've owned 2 4th Gen Z28's (97 A4 and my current baby 02 M6) Both of them were hardtops. I would have gotten the t tops if I could but I wasn't going to turn down the car cause they didn't have em.

well i tell ya what you will regret not getting a Z with T tops....nothing finer than taking the tees out in the summer and cruisin, and as far as leaking....nope, no problems in mine whatsoever...my boss has a 2000 SS not a drop of water in his car either. just my .02 cents
