T/A has a bad dead spot need help

When I drive my car it has a dead spot it will quit pulling for a split second then it comes back on.

Took it to the dealer and told them it was the cats to get it scanned for free because the cats are still under warranty.

They called and said the cats were fine and that the problem was that the car had a bad air/fuel mixture they didn't tell us lean or rich.

What can cause a bad a/f mixture also can it something else causing it.

PS-- The car has fresh plugs and wires so I doubt thats it. (we thought this would solve the problem guess not so I'm back to square one

If your car has a K&N air filter, try cleaning your MAF. I have had so many times where drivability issues led to that damn thing being coated with K&N oil.

Ditto on cleaning the MAF. Also, might as well pick up a new fuel filter while you're at Autozone picking up the "QD Electronic Cleaner."

bent push rod......

may Ls1 would flat spot at 4500-6500 rpms.... just a random no pull ...no more power....then...the next run it would yank up to 6500

turns out it was a bent push rod......and it never made a ticking sound..

DUDE i had the SAME question! I bought a new lid/air filter and cleaned my MAF all at the same time and my dead spot vanished! I dont know which fixed it, but try either. I'l almost 100% sure that what you're experiencing is the same thing i was.
