Suspension-V6 vs. Z28

hey ...my friend has a V6 camaro, he told me that the V6's and the Z28's have the same suspension..is this true?? i know when i test drove a V6 the suspension didnt feel anything like the Z's..The Z's felt more stable, more predictable, and more solid..so i would appreciate if anyone could clear this up for me. Thanks

If you consider different springs, shocks, and sway bars to be the same, then he is correct. Otherwise......

Having driven both:

The V6 is not as tight, but I think it was ment because most V6 arent used for competation (although the V6 posts a faster time through the cones)

The Z28 was stiffer and it was felt through the wheel too, I did like the feel much more although It took more of a pounding on bumps.

Regular sport coupe Camaros and Firebirds have softer spring rates, softer shock valving and smaller sway bars.

Y87 (Still V6) Camaros and Firebirds have very close to a Z28 or Formula suspension, and slightly larger swaybars.

And by the way a 4.3 is a Gen II 350 with two chopped off or should I say it has the same Bore and Stroke.
