Supercharger Questions

Help, I have a 2001 SS Camaro / stock / automatic. What is the best supercharger (brand) that I should install?... where I can get good power boost, yet reliability in the supercharger in the years to come. Would an intercooler also be adviseable as well? Also, would a twin turbo-charger be better? If so, what brand? or should I stick with a supercharger?
Thank you all for any response.

I woudlnt worry about the charger as much as all the additional stress put on the engine. I'm by no means an expert. Post this question in the Forced induction Forum. They can probably help you out no problem.

You can install a supercharger on a stock motor with no other mods required except for a plug change. The Vortech and ATI kits have both been very popular showing gains from 100-140+hp depending on the boost level. Vortech kits are complete and come with everything you need for the install including programming while you will need to send your vehicle's computer out to be programmed for the ATI kit. Installation is a little easier for the ATI though.

Hope this helps,
Tom

I personally prefer the ATI for power and simplicity of installation.

However, I also show my car a lot. In times like that, I'd like to have the Vortec setup since it sits on top and looks bling, while the ATI kit hides down by the alternator(the head unit).

Bling helps at car shows
