Summit Universal X-pipe and Flowtechs

I remember a guy posting how they fit his jet-hot headers perfectly on his LT1 and didnt even have to bend it.

So...does the 2.5 inch summit universal x-pipe system work just as good on long-tubes on an LS1?

And...do they fit flowtech headers? The jet-hots looked to have the same 3 bolt flange as my flowtechs.

thanks

Re: Summit Universal X-pipe and Flowtechs

Ok...would this bolt up to my headers? that is my main concern.

Here is the list...

SUM-630550 Exhaust Hanger, Use In Conjunction with U-Shaped Muffler Clamp, Steel Strap W/rubber Isolator, Each $5.95 $11.90

SUM-642125 Summit Universal X-Pipe Kits $89.95 $89.95

SUM-G4754ID Collector Reducers, Slip-Fit, 3.0 in.Coll.3-Bolt Flange, 3.0 To 2.5 in.ID., Pr. $19.95 $19.95

WLK-24236 Dynomax Race Magnum Bullet Mufflers $47.69 $95.38

Also...I cant find any turdowns to fit 2 1/2 inch. Which Will be how big the end of the muffler will be.

thanks

you will have to do some custom work. the collector on the driver side header for the LS1 angles out, not straight back like the lt1.

just buy a 2.5" U bent pipe...cut the legs off and you have 2 turndowns

So the collector reducer should bolt up to my flowtechs?

Collector flanges are pretty universal. I just went to the parts house and bought two 3" to 2.5" collector reducers and they fit my Dynatechs just fine.
