Question Stupid but necessary question. LS1 brake pad

Ok i did the LS1 brake upgrade on my 96 z28.

Now with the LT1 pads there are metal clips in the center of them that go into the piston to hold the pads in place.

The LS1 performance pads i bought from NAPA did not have any clips really.. There were the small clip on the corner of 2 pads that kinda hold it in place.. while the other 2 just slid into place.. no clips holding those in..

I do have some LS1 OEM clips but i dont see how they work with the pads??? My lt1 clips were alreayd built into the pads. Does someone have some pictures or can explain this to me>?

do you mean those metal clips that rest on both sides of the pads? If I remember correctly, they sit on the edges of adbundment braket and help locate the pads in place..
