Strobing lights....found the prolem
I had a post this past month concerning the lights "strobing" on my car at a rate of aproximately 4x a second, especially when the car was cold.
The problem was a bad alternator wiring harness. The wires were grounding out within the harness, creating the strobe effect on the headlights/ interior lights. I had the harness replaced (and the dealer threw in a new alternator for good measure), and now the problem is gone.
I had my work done under warranty.... but I know of others who have the same prob and are past the warranty period. So, this is the answer or you.
Thanks to everyone who gave me input. I made a printout and gave this to the dealer when I dropped off the car. This helped the mechanics concentrate on the right area of the car and find the prob.
